More Mask Madness

Yesterday, I was thrilled to see my Los Angeles Rams win the NFC Championship against our long time rival San Francisco 49ers. Yet, I was amazed that so many were not wearing masks in the crowd but especially the “hoity toity” in the luxury boxes and what’s worse, they were flaunting it by taking pics of each other.

Now don’t get me wrong……I am FOR FREEDOM and the right to choose to wear a mask or not, it’s the hypocrisy that bothers me. Look at this video taken from the tv yesterday of celebrities:

And here is Magic Johnson (who if you don’t remember, was diagnosed years ago with AIDS which makes him immunocompromised) standing with California Governor Gavin Newsome. Yet today, they’ll “mask up” for a photo op somewhere and still require the kids to mask up at school!

Magic tweeted dozens of pics with his celebrity pals. I won’t bore you with them, they’re out there for you to find.

Here are more from the stands and the field of play:

Note that some are wearing masks. Great, good for them for making that choice. And that’s the crux of the problem: it should be a CHOICE!!

Here is a tweet thread from a Portland person who is horrified at a fellow shopper who wouldn’t wear a mask. Read the whole comment thread……it’s quite telling. Where is her outrage at the games yesterday?

It’s time to UNMASK our kids! It’s time to recognize that we are ALWAYS going to have Covid…’s here to stay. Do the smart things that have been suggested over the last two years: wash your hands…. A LOT! Stay home if you’re not feeling well. Keep your distance if you’re not sure. IF you so choose, get the vaccine (it seems to lessen the effect and yes I know that it CAN also cause other problems, but that’s for another day).

By the way, I’m not the only one who thinks Covid is just going to a part of our lives for a long time. MOST Americans believe this:

Meanwhile…..GO RAMS!!!
